Full Circle Episode 4 Recap: Lies And The Lying Liars Who Tell Them

They are led by Mrs. Savitri Mahabir (CCH Pounder), a ruthless matriarch who believes that her family is cursed by a dark force. She uses Obeah rituals, a form of African diasporic spell-casting and healing traditions, to try to break the curse and restore order.

In the fourth episode, titled “Safe in the Circle”, we see how Mrs. Mahabir’s plan goes awry when she learns that Jared, her grandson who was supposed to be killed as a sacrifice, is still alive and that there is a break in the circle. She orders Aked (Jharrel Jerome), her cruel nephew and enforcer, to find and kill Natalia (Zazie Beetz) and Luis (Jim Gaffigan), two postal inspectors who have escaped with Nicky (Sheyi Cole), Jared’s half-brother. She also decides to reopen the circle with Harry (Phaldut Sharma) and Mr. Willoughby’s (Dennis Quaid) help. Harry, however, is unhappy with her leadership and suspects that she is losing her mind.

#2. Natalia, Luis, and Nicky

Natalia and Luis are two postal inspectors who stumbled upon a mysterious package addressed to Jared. They soon realized that the package contained a human heart and that they were in danger. They teamed up with Nicky, who claimed to be Jared’s friend, but later revealed his true identity as Derek’s son.

In the fourth episode, we see how Natalia meets with Edward Chung (Timothy Olyphant), Mrs. Mahabir’s rival, who offers to help her return to Guyana in exchange for information. Eloise (Claire Danes), a mysterious woman who seems to know everything about the circle, warns Natalia that Chung is planning to betray her and tells her to run. Natalia, Luis, and Nicky flee from Aked, who tracks them down using the Postmates app. Nicky proposes a plan to steal a painting from his father’s house, which he believes holds the key to breaking the curse.

#3. Sam and Derek

Sam (Suzanne Savoy) and Derek (Lucian Zanes) are a wealthy couple who run a real estate empire on behalf of Sam’s father, Jeff McCusker (Dennis Quaid), a celebrity chef. They are also Jared’s parents, but they have kept him hidden from the public eye because of his deformity. They are unaware of Mrs. Mahabir’s plot to kill him as part of the circle.

In the fourth episode, we see how Sam is visited by Mel (Adia), a journalist who questions her about her family’s involvement in the Guyanese connection. Sam learns that Jared is not kidnapped and that Nicky is Derek’s son. Derek confesses his affair and his secret son to Sam, who is furious and leaves him. Derek discovers that Sam, Jeff, and Gene (Gerald Jones) were part of a corrupt scheme to build a luxury condo in Guyana called The Colony at Essequibo.

In conclusion, the fourth episode of Full Circle reveals more lies and secrets that have been hidden for years by the characters.
