Fans think they have an inkling as to who the vocalist could be after witnessing a jaw-dropping performance from the Macaw on "The Masked Singer"  in a preview for its April 19 episode. With this performance, viewers seem to already have a hunch that the Macaw singer is 2008 "American Idol" finalist David Archuleta.

The Macaw is unquestionably former "American Idol" contestant David Archuleta. Don't trust us? Consider how many of the clues correspond to David Archuleta's life, in addition to the fact that the Macaw sounds exactly like him. 

To begin with, in 2008, he came in second place in the seventh season of the reality talent show. That explains the silver medal displayed by country singer Deana Carter as the final clue for Macaw.

On December 28, 1990, David James Archuleta was born in Miami, Florida. He gained notoriety on American Idol and is most known for his musical career. At the age of six, he started singing, and at the age of ten, he began performing. He participated in Utah Talent Competition and gained in the Child Division.

Archuleta appeared as a singer in multiple Star Search episodes when he was just 12 years old. On "Star Search 2," he won the Junior Vocal Championship. Archuleta refused an uncertain surgery for partial vocal paralysis, and his decision proved to be good as he recovered naturally.

In the year 2007, Archuleta took part in American Idol and played the piano even as he sang on certain episodes. Despite receiving 44% of the over 100 million votes, David Cook ultimately won the competition, placing him in second place.

In 2008, his debut album ‘David Archuleta’ was released and debuted at number 2 on the Billboard 200. "Christmas from the Heart" came out in 2009, and "The Other Side of Down" came out in 2010. After releasing his Filipino album "Forevermore" in 2012, Archuleta took a two-year break from the music scene to serve as a missionary in Chile. In 2013, 'No Matter How Far', his debut album, was released.

He gained 6 Teen Choice Awards in 2008-2009. Besides, in 2014 he obtained nominations for 3 World Music Awards.
