ID has released a new documentary about the fall of once-famous spokesperson Jared Fogle. The former Subway representative rose to prominence after losing 245 pounds by eating the chain's sandwiches, which were featured in commercials touting his successful weight loss.
But the affection for Fogle faded after his arrest in 2015. Fogle pled guilty to possessing or distributing child pornography as well as crossing state lines to have commercial s** with a minor. Jared Fogle is a former Subway spokesperson from 2000 to 2015 After accepting a plea deal, Fogle pleaded guilty to "charges of receiving child pornography and repeatedly making love with minors," in November 2015, according to NPR.
"The case involved interstate travel to pay minors for s**, as well as at least 400 child pornography videos — many of which Fogle received from the head of his charity, prosecutors said at today's hearing." Fogle was sentenced to more than 15 years in prison and is serving his time at the Federal Correctional Institution in Englewood, Colorado.

In August 2015, Fogle pleaded guilty to child s** tourism and child pornography charges and was sentenced with 15 years in a federal prison. He is currently serving his sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution, Englewood in Colorado.
Per NBC News, after his sentencing, Fogle told the judge that he wanted to “redeem” his life and become a “good, honest person.” Fogle has since attempted to appeal his sentencing twice and was last denied in 2017.

As of now, the convicted criminal will not be eligible for parole until 13 years of his sentence are completed. He will have to register as a s** offender.
In 2016, it was reported that Fogle had gained between 20 to 30 pounds while in prison. He was also assaulted by a 60-year-old inmate, which left him with “facial bruising, a bloodied nose and neck abrasions,”. The attacker’s relative gave insight into the assault, stating, “He had to hit him. That’s how the whole thing started. He just can’t be around child molesters. He doesn’t like them.”
Fogle wrote a letter, obtained by The New York Post, in 2021, expressing remorse for his crimes. “I really royally screwed up to wind up where I am. I was selfish and entitled,” he penned. Fogle continued to share his prison diet, stating, “I try to avoid too much junk food. I snack on granola bars and protein bars. I feel really good physically and mentally.”
