#1. What is Yellowjackets season 2 release date and time?
Showtime confirmed that Yellowjackets season 2 will premiere on streaming this Friday, March 24, 2023 at 12:01 a.m. ET, and then on linear this Sunday, March 26, 2023 at 9:00 p.m. ET. That means if you’re streaming the show on the Showtime site or app, or Paramount Plus with the Showtime add-on, you can watch the season 2 premiere this Friday. If you’re watching the show with Showtime on cable, you’ll have to wait until Sunday evening. Like the first season, episodes will be released weekly.
In Dec. 2021, it was announced that Yellowjackets season 2 was green-lit. This was a pleasant surprise for fans, considering the first season was only through five episodes at the time. Showtime’s President of Entertainment Gary Levine spoke to Deadline about the renewal, where he confirmed the writers would come together in January 2022 to start working on season 2.

#3. Is Jackie in Yellowjackets season 2?
It appears unlikely that Ella Purnell will reprise her role as Jackie, as her death was depicted in the season 1 finale. Despite this, clues suggest that she may appear in flashbacks. Purnell has discussed the upcoming season of Yellowjackets and has confirmed when production was to commence. She has, however, not provided any further information. Screen Rant has speculated that the survivors in the wilderness could consume Jackie's body due to hints at cannibalism in the show; even though this has yet to be portrayed on screen, it is not inconceivable.

#5. Yellowjackets season 1 ending explained
One possible critique of the Yellowjackets season 1 finale is that it didn't offer much resolution. It seemed like each episode was building up to a huge finale, but that didn't happen. We found out how Jackie passed away and there was a major cliffhanger at the conclusion, but there is still a lot of unanswered questions.
The season 1 finale ends with present-day Nat putting a gun in her mouth ready to end her life, but before she can pull the trigger, she’s kidnapped by a group of people wearing that mysterious symbol. As the episode comes to an end, we hear a very concerned Suzie leaving Nat a voicemail where she asks who Lottie Matthews is. This suggests the grownup Lottie has something to do with Travis’ death. Season 2 will (hopefully) confirm how Travis really died, what happened to Shauna’s baby, if the girls really resorted to cannibalism out in the woods, and explain what the opening scene of season 1 is all about. We’re going to keep theorizing until season 2 premieres, and hopefully, the next installment is a bit more revealing than season 1. They’re playing the long game here, so fingers crossed it pays off.
